Greetings! My name is Leanne Grzyboski, and I am thrilled to be accepted as a missioner in Cabrini Mission Corps. I was born on May 30, 1981, in Fairfax, VA, to two of the most important people in my life, my parents. Shortly after my birth, my family moved to Mechanicsburg, PA, where we still reside. My family also includes my older sister, Lisa, and my younger brother, Brian, both of whom made my childhood extra special.
I attended parochial elementary and high school and went on to attend a Catholic college. At Trinity High School and College Misericordia, I became involved in student life and held leadership positions, participating in student government, cross country and track and field. In college, I also served as a resident assistant and eucharistic minister.
My orientation to community and church service began as a freshman in high school, where it was required throughout my four years. But in college, I freely chose to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity through campus ministry. Multiple trips down South over my spring breaks sparked my interest in volunteering for a year of service after graduation.
In May 2004, I graduated with honors and an MS in physical therapy and a BS in health science. It was one of those moments instilled in my memory in the finest detail. Not only was it a day of accomplishment, but a day of closing one door and opening another to a new and exciting path. I am ready to begin my career as a physical therapist and feel fortunate to be able to utilize my skills and knowledge at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. |
